Traditional Chinese Acupuncture

Traditional Chinese Acupuncture is a health-care system based on the ancient 8 principles of Qi-Blood, Yin-Yang, Internal-External and Hot-Cold which dates back more than 2000 years.

Acupuncture looks at pain and illness as signs that the body is out of balance. The overall aim of treatment is to restore the body back to a balanced state and restore the free-flow of the body's Qi (vital energy).

Traditional Chinese Acupuncture treats the patients as a whole human being, recognising the interaction and connections between the physical, emotional and psychological health of an individual. Their illness and all their symptoms are seen collectively and in relation to each other.  As such, each patient is unique and their treatment plan will be unique to them.

A Traditional Chinese Acupuncturist is trained to use extensive diagnostic techniques that take in to account signs and symptoms, health history, lifestyle and observations.

Inserting sterile disposable single use ultra-fine needles into specific Acupuncture points aims to trigger the body's natural healing response and re-establish the free flow of Qi to restore balance.
